1. Passport Renewal for Libyan National
- A written Application
- Copy of Resident Card in Japan
- 4 photos (4×6)
- A letter from his workplace states he is working in Japan
- A letter states his residence in Japan “Unnecessary if Resident Card presented”
- It is recommended to inquire at the Embassy’s Consular Affairs.
2. Requirements for Registering A newborn for Libyan National
- A birth certificate from the hospital translated into Arabic
- A certificate from Ward Office “Birth Registration” translated into Arabic
- Family Registry from Japanese Civil Registration
- A hand-written requesting letter for child registration
- A document from the mayor indicates Foreign Resident Registration
- Family Handbook and marriage document or family relation document
- Certificate of Employment / Student Certificate or Resident Card.
- Father and Mother’s Passport
- 4 photos (6×4)
- We recommend you to enquire at the Embassy’s consular affairs before visiting the Embassy.
3. Adding a new family member into Libyan National Passport
- Birth Registry Certificate and Japanese Birth Certificate translated into Arabic
- Family Registry from Japanese Civil Registration
- Libyan Family Book
- The Passport which you would like your child to be added.
- Requesting Letter to add child to parent’s passport
- Please contact Consular affairs for any other inquiry.
4. Power of Attorney and Authentication
- A written Application / request regarding the power of attorney
- Present what states the Libyan Nationality (Passport, Libyan Family Book)
- Support his application by presenting necessary documents
- Certificates and Dealings will be authenticated after being certified by the Consular Affairs in Libya, only the original document can be authenticated, not a copy.
- The Consular Affairs of the Embassy authenticates certificates and documents issued in Japan only if it has been certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
